I meant no disrespect toward anyone that owns the Kenton bucks (new J Crew versions).  Wear in great health my friend...

TBH they would have to be totally jacked to send a grail back. They will end up beat anyway. I would imagine Kathy looked this order over. Additionally after my recent mto rejection I am due for the shoe gawds to take care of me on this one.

My cigar indys have a long strand hair (what.) on the upper panel that was fused to the piece when it was being dyed. Alden quality like always, but I could not wait another 2 years. Good story to tell my friends.

Not that I've noticed, it seems similar in both. Why do you ask?

Again, thanks for all the compliments. I'll be sure to post more pics as the patina develops.

Good to see some awesome cigars coming to too!

It looked it from the photo. I could see some rough flaking along the crease line. It's looks similar to some AE shell of mine which is quite dry

For a first color #8 would you guys recommend a more reddish hue or a darker burgundy. From what I understand the #8 cts that Alden DC has are relatively dark. The PCTs at JCrew nearby are really really purple (me trying them on):

It's all personal preference really.  I wouldn't go by shop in terms of typical shades of #8.  The variations really can happen from run to run.  That being said, if there's a shade you particularly love and you see it in your size you should snatch it up.  There's no guarantee that the same shade will be there the next time you go to pull the trigger.

Yeah I actually asked Kathy specifically because I was curious what their current stock is. They have my size in stock but she said they're rather dark compared to the previous runs. I'm honestly not sure what would be more versatile.

Not much help, but I like them all. My 4 color8 shoes are all different shades. That is the beauty of color8. Get the model you want more.

All color 8 is versatile. I know it's a lot of money, but I wouldn't sweat the shade.

That's pretty convincing. I like the DC makeup the most.

I personally prefer the lighter color 8 because it shows more character in the leather and (I think) ages better. My preference is for my dress shoes to be a darker shade and my boots and casual shoes to be lighter.
