Appreciate it guys. The Barrie in D width is a bit tight for me so trying to figure out if this shoe would work as I believe JCrew doesn't do E width. Is the perf cap toe boot available in different widths anywhere else?

You may be able to get the Leffot Naval boot in widths when they do another pre-order. I don't know of any other PCT.

About a month ago I picked up both the jcrew longwings and PCT's. My 8.5D longwings fit perfectly. My 9D PCT's are a tad snug.

Any comparison shots of the two welts? I don't think I know the difference visually. I've only heard of 360.

For example, the 2210 has a flat 270 degree welt (also called "closed heel"), whereas the 986 has a flat 360 degree welt. The welt is closer to the upper with the 2210, and there is no stitching.

Today, since it is not supposed to be torrential downpours all day, I decided to "risk it" and wear some shell again..

You know.. since this stuff is so fragile.

I already bought them few weeks ago. At the store I have been told that they are Aberdeen last but they were not sure. Few days later I tried the same boots in the exact same siez at JCrew and the fit was totally different and they told me that they were Aberdeen last too. I was just trying to figure out if my Cordovan boots from citishoes are really an Aberdeen last.

I tried to snap a pic of my ravello medallions' 270 welt. Sorry that the picture isn't a little more clear.

The 4060 is definitely on Grant.

The JCrew PCT boot is on Barrie.

Neither is Aberdeen.

You may have been misled.

This above information is correct. You were indeed misled. 4060 is Grant, so if they fit well, then the PCT would have fit you a bit large in the same size I assume?

MrDV, I wear both my Leffot tankers and my Cigar Captoe boots in the rain. Both have held up great over a couple of years of wear. Commando soles = boots for rain IMO.

I am planning to wear my upcoming Leffor tankers in every weather condition, hopefully in a few years they look like the cordovan Indys from last week that someone posted that were beat up in the most beautiful kind of way.

I am just finishing a business trip to (ironically) Columbus Ohio - the weather called for Rain, I brought two pairs of shoes, the Whiskey Short Wings, and the Context Tankers TO wear in the rain!

I'm with you on this one, this isn't paper mâché we're talking about..... smile.gif
