Btw, in your case, it doesn't really matter whether these are dovers, whether they are suede or smooth leather, or even whether they are lined or unlined. What matters is exclusively the color of the edge.

Won't chili be a hair too dark for the "antique" edge? I'd start with natural.

I've used chili on mine. The color in his looks lighter but I was thinking that might just be due to the lighting.

You can just use neutral polish for the touch up, and be done with it.

I use chilli on my antique edge and it does a great job. I had a pair of Epaulet Alt Wien's with antique and used chili all the time. They were easily my most complimented shoes. Recently sold them to a lucky buyer.

Do they smell bad after that much wear or do shoe trees eliminate all odors?

Looks like they re-stitched the piece containing the eyelets to the vamp?

I picked some up from Alden recently and that is in fact the tan wax. Prior to tan, Alden used to recommend that one use brown wax on whiskey.

Just took delivery of these Auburn Indy Shoes from Need Supply. Haven't seen Alden use this color leather before, looks great! Pics:

Need Supply has such unique make ups. Thoughts on this?

I want that but not even sure how to rock it. I wish sites like this would show the shoe on a foot and in sunlight.

I'm not a fan of that makeup at all. I think the Vibram sole is ugly. But then again I've never be a fan of Vibram soles.
