I suppose it's the right sort of tones I want in there?  But yeah, I could use calf polish too.  I suppose my larger question is, can this be done with natural CXL, if carefully done etc?  This may be a stupid question, I dunno.  lol.

I'm not sure how well CXL takes to polish. I don't think I've ever seen it discussed.

I see that. But those people who monitor irregulars list can tell how often these shoes available.

Can I find somewhere old TSM irregulars lists?

This is very easy t do and at most old timers I know expected it as a sign of taste. Go with oxblood and the lightest brown Paste wax you can find. Paste will give you control of were the color goes without bleed. so mix red with brown on a tin cap until the color is a shade you want and apply at toe and heel.

Yes, I'm on the list for the next run - AoC has them in my size now on Barrie, but I would really like them on Plaza

Of course there is the style difference up front, but if you have a thinner heel/ankle, the heel cup of the Plaza is perfect. Difficult to capture in a photo...

Thanks MrDV...if only I could track down a rare version like yours!

With all the issues we members seem to be having with checkouts and discount codes today, perhaps that spammer/troller yesterday from wilargo.com was onto something.

So CXL natural will indeed take the color?  Thanks for the advice!  :)

CXL takes brown polish great. I had a pair of AEs in CXL that I used to put through hell. They always cleaned up wonderfully.

Long as you use a cream and not a wax.

Couldn't resist the temptation to get the Alden PTB in navy reversed chamois from the Haberdashery today. With the promotion code, the price was less than $300.
