I picked up these used Alden for BB PTB shells. Are these in cigar? They look really dark brownish. I thought that Alden only made black and burgundy shell for them. Or, did they "turn" in color. Thanks, gents.

Thank you sir. Red brick sole. Comfy and didn't crease much after a day of church and family gatherings. I was a bit paranoid of little ones stepping on them.

Bb used to sell lighter color shell shoes and belts like a dark whiskey. Your pair is probably a well aged burgundy shell. I think they look great. Your ptbs also run true to size, in case you're going to list them.

First-time Alden buyer here, just wanting to make sure I get the right size.

So I am looking to buy a PTB and have my eyes on the Dover model in snuff suede. Have I understood correctly that the Dover fits a bit tighter than the "traditional" PTB model?

My vintage Florsheim gunboats are in size 10.5 and fit snugly, so that perhaps a size 10.75 would be optimal if such a thing existed. Should I be looking to get the Dovers in size 10.5?

Thanks!

How would I order a replacement set of laces? I like the ones that came from TSM on my Color 8 Indy. I plan on using them on a black pair of 10 eyelet boots.

Could anyone give a general opinion of sizing
On the Barrie last ? Compared to wolverines 1k ?
I had the round toe by j crew and us 8 fits tighter than the wolverines 1k
I believed the j crews are on the trubalance last

Thanks, BN.

Interestingly enough, this batch of whiskey has some green undertones.

Yea, I know this has been said a few times but I don't really see it in my pair - they are just a very nice caramel color, and fit me like a glove.

I noticed in your photo that your shoes fit differently on your R&L foot by the way you have them pulled tight - is that accurate?

I am wearing my Context tankers for the first time right now (10.0D Barrie vs 10.5D on the SW) and I was surprised at how *snug* they fit - I was expecting them to be a tad loose like my other CXL boots, but not at all - these are rather glove like as well...

Very funny how the fit changes on these so drastically from last to last.

Yes, my left foot is slightly smaller than my right in volume.

PSA: JCrew has promo code for 25% on full priced items. You might get lucky with Aldens.
Did you try the code before posting? Aldens can't be used with any promotional codes once you add it to the shopping bag.

Tried - no go.
