This is probably my last wear of these for the season. This weekend I plan to store all my boots and get all my suede shoes and loafers out of storage.

Ravello SWB from TSM (Chrome Filter)

Also, I take that this is a whiskey and cigar shell?

They are the very first Alden Fan shoe from Alden of Carmel and made in 1996. Aberdeen last. Whiskey shell body with mahogany shell saddle.

It is a wonderful shoe in so many ways.

I agree. Had they been in my size, I would have snatched them up.

+ 1

And even though I have a hard time accepting the idea of putting my feet in someone else's shoes, I would have been seriously tempted to buy those if they had been in my size.

An even better idea is bothering Alden of Carmel so much that he works with Alden to resurrect that Fan shoe.

The code EASTER15 works at the Bureau this weekend. Brings some styles down to almost affordable for US customers.

So glad I pulled the trigger on these......thank you to whomever posted the information on the Leathersoul "spring cleaning" sale!

I wasn't sure on the Hampton last, but really like the look and they feel great.....the humus suede is a bit darker than expected but I think these will get a lot of wear.

The BB pair is definitely on Barrie last. The Haberdash one is on trubalance. Overall I like the Haberdash lined version more, especially the lighter color outsole, and I'll return the BB pair.

I have the BB pair, and they are too tapered to be Barrie lasted. I suspect that they are on the Aberdeen last, and I recommend folks size TTS.

Very attractive shoe, although I haven't totally figured out what one wears milkshake suede with, without doing the Southern dandy look. Any advice?

CXL is pretty waterproof by nature.

If you really want to, you could use some olbenoefs or similar to make it even more waterproof and seal the welt area with boot wax so that no water can get inside from there, but that is really only necessary if you are going to be standing in puddles.

1) Is it true that SF Alden and NY Alden use a different color welt on the cigar lwb?

2) What type of welt is that? reverse welt/ wheeling in natural color? The contrast looks pretty neat

Amazing shoes. I got a pair coming from SF Alden.
