Also, I take that this is a whiskey and cigar shell?

They are the very first Alden Fan shoe from Alden of Carmel and made in 1996. Aberdeen last. Whiskey shell body with mahogany shell saddle.

The BB pair is definitely on Barrie last. The Haberdash one is on trubalance. Overall I like the Haberdash lined version more, especially the lighter color outsole, and I'll return the BB pair.

perfect summer shoes!

hey guys. I'm so into longwing exclusive for Unionmadegoods.

But I never worn alden before so can you give me some advice for sizing?

I wear Berwick 7.0. wide enough, little bit long.

church's 7G, gives me the greatest fit.

Allen edmonds 8e or 8eee depends on lasts.

The shoes are 'berrie' last and many reccomends a size down.

should I go 8d? or 7.5e?

I love that this rare pair resurfaced for sale at a reasonable price. I'm chasing a few unicorns and today's rare sighting gives me hope. My unicorns: 1. Leather soul #4 ptb, 2. Tsm #4 sw boot, 3. Leffot cigar atoms. I was lucky to cross one MAJOR unicorn off my list last month, cigar sw boots on the plaza.

Anyone ever use leather defender in CXL? Any issues?

It was a really tough call but I ended up passing. They checked many boxes for me, whiskey, unicorn, etc. I loved that they were a unicorn but I didn't really love the shoe. It was the stitching across the top that I just couldn't get around.

Not surprisingly they did not last long.

thanks, these pct boots growing on me quickly.

Are these the same shows that are currently on the J. Crew web page. The pics on the site makes the shoe look a bit deformed. thinking about copping them after looking at your pics if they are the same shoe. Thanks

As for me, not a fan of its type of bluchers. Can you believe that pair is almost 20 years old? Haha

Same boot. The pictures are weird - it's much nicer in real life.

It is not necessary for CXL.  What are you trying to achieve?
