^And this is grained shell on the Modified last in an exotic color? That's quite a unicorn. And not bad looking at all.

Anyone's shell plain toe bluchers fit differently than their shell longwing bluchers? My plain toes on barrie feel significantly tighter in the vamp and toe box (but heel fits the same) than my longwings on barrie, even in the same color shell and in the same shipment received by the retailer from Alden. Just wondering if this is common or a fluke as I'm about to order another shell plain toe and would like to know if I should half-size up.
The Haverford location of Sherman Bros is having an Alden trunk show this Saturday. I will be there early if anyone wants to stop by and say hello. They may have some rare Alden items as well.

I would assume it applies to everything Alden. Those guys are really good like that.I call the brothers and the sale is on until Saturday. I wonder if the discount would apply to the Trunk Items as well as any Special Orders
I certainly will.If possible, please report back about any rare models. I'm not in the market for any, just curious more than anything.
"Shell Rainbow" reminded me of these.
Some say Mahogany == #4

Nothing is forever. They just have the market by the short and curlies right now. Someone will match the quality and price and things will slow down. All you need is to find a skilled worker, buy some reducing, cutting, and sewing machines from a business going out (so many in American right now) and hit the vendors with fresh ideas or copies for less.
I'm a measured 11D with a slightly high volume/high instep foot. I size down by 1/2 in Barrie shoes but when I bight the J Crew shell cap toe boots I had to go TTS. The 1/2 size down was too snug.
My PTBs definitely feel a little more snug than my LWB, but not enough to go true to size.
