Grainy photo of my Leffot saddles that I wore out on a night on the town recently. I must wear these more often. The Barrie last + balmoral lacing and flat welt makes for a surprisingly sleek look

I'm curious as to what you base this opinion on?

EDIT - perhaps I'm missing an inside joke here?

"Shoe selfies" are pretty embarrassing. I delete mine like they're national security secrets.
I've got nowhere to hide, my wife knows I take shoe pictures before work, I need help.

My wife has more shoes than I do but nothing expensive.

Hell my wife will do shoe selfies with me. My wife has a bunch of shoes but mostly she just wears Chanel ballet flats. I don't know how many pairs of those she's gone though.

Wow. See that is a cool wife. Those Carmina Pythons are crazy awesome. I don't think I could pull them off. I sold my AE Broadstreets because they were too showy for me.

I really like those shoes. I am not a big fan of the Saddle Shoe traditionally, but that is such a nice and classy mix.

I've worn these only when I want to "look my best": weddings, dates, etc. They always get good feedback. That indicates to me I should wear them more. The color 8 monochromatic saddle may be a good companion to this pair.

Wow, only here... But I find reno cleans but dries out leather more, I use cordovan cream to actually moisturize.

I agree Saphir cordovan cream moisturizes better than Reno, but, in my experience, Reno does not dry out leather, shell or calf. But then again, I only use it sparingly, as with all products.

I am a closeted SFer. Wife knows I read a "blog," but has no idea of the extent of my participation here. I have Alden and she has Stewart Weitzman, so they sort of cancel out. Not sure she reads up about them though.

I hear you! My shoe humor really doesn't fly off of SF...

These are some of my most complimented shoes.

I can't tell from the photo - but are you wearing those with dark denim?  If so - fairly easy to pull off?

Cheers,

Brilliant boys. I don't wear mine as often, but love them when I do.
I only had a couple of nice shoes when I pre-ordered these from leffot. It was like the movie "the notebook" but with saddles.

Same here. My wife doesn't like buying anything, especially not clothes for herself.

Mine look similar to his. Now that it's warming up again I should get a chance to wear mine so I'll try to post some pics. They are one of my favorite pairs of shoes in my rotation.

I don't have black shell but do own 3 pairs of black shoes. I've always thought that black shoes have a place even if the majority of style people think that all you need is brown.
