Mike-

What a fantastic collection!  Hats off to you!!!  Are you lucky enough to wear the same size in each shoe?

Enjoy wearing that Unicorn rump shell cordovan.
It's clearly Tauntaun shell.

I don't want to ruin everyone's fun here, and while I think this #2 shell LWB is a very nice shoe, it also epitomizes that rarity is more sought after than the actual looks of the shoe. Again, it looks just fine and I'd probably wear it if it were readily available at usual Alden shell prices, but I wouldn't put it in the same league as a Cigar LWB or #8 wingtip boot. It also looks decidedly drier compared to other Alden shell. In the LWB rainbow picture, it doesn't seem to have the same trademark Alden luster that the others have. Although, I'm sure a good Mac Methoding will take care of that relatively easily.

So awesome. I laughed out loud, at work.

I'm more shocked that is exists rather than it's appearance, personally.

I can agree with that, and that's a good point because that's probably the mindset that most of the shock and awe responses are coming from.

Good eye. This make-up resembles leffot's cigar saddles. Looks like a mat finish, not glossy.

Every single one is a 10D.

I similarly ran across a pair of the Color 4 Atoms from Leffot a couple of years ago. They didn't get worn that often, so I sold them. I'd rank the #2 longwings last among all of the longwings Mike posted, but others may disagree.

The existence of the shoes does show that Alden will do some special makeups for some retailers, which is a good sign

Sir, you are correct and you have a great eye. They were intentionally left unfinished to give them a more casual style. I think a little Mac Methoding and possibly some Neutral Saphir Cordovan Cream could easily take care of that. They are definitely on the drier side for Alden shell.

I do agree that they are cool, but definitely not as utilitarian as the Cigar LWB.

#2 is interesting to look at, but I still think #4 is my favorite of the rare shells. Just the right blend of red/brown and luster.

Dark brown Friday

Not that I would want a pair (and I'm 100% certain I couldn't get them in my size) but why is it seemingly a secret where these #2 things came from?

Does anyone have the J.Crew leather and suede LWB?
