I work in the consulting wing of a big 4 public accounting firm . I wear suits probably once every week and rest of the days it's dress slacks and sport coat. I wear khakis and jeans over the weekend . I am currently rotating my lwbs with old AE NST and black strands. What would you guys recommend for my second alden pair ?
Your tips and recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Cigar cap toe blucher? Several good options, but to have a shot at "rare" shell (at least for Alden) on a shoe you could put to use would be great. I don't believe the list for an incoming order is all that deep at DC.

I take the same size in both lasts, but the Barrie is much roomier in the width for me. Length fits the same for me.

I'm 9.5 E in the AE 1 (Leeds) last but 9.5 D in the Barrie.

Sir, those are amazing. No clue why, but the Shortwing Balmoral in Whiskey is one of my favorite Alden's.

Wow, all blind eyelets on those -- pretty unique. Is that a single or double leather sole?

pic from the next morning, you can see some spots still there after the water dried

and then after brushing with an allen edmonds suede cleaner thingy

as you can see it all turned out well in the end. you can see up by the speed hooks that there is some dye transfer from my jeans, assumed that isn't going away but haven't really tried to remove it. i did spray these with suede protector when i first got them.

Great looking boots! Thank you for sharing. Are these boots Alden's? What style are these boots? Thank you!

Thanks. And yes Tommy, J Gilbert. I don't think it's mentioned often, but if you go to the bottom of the main J Gilbert page and sign up for its email, you get $50 off your first purchase (or pre-order). I think some just see the inventory on the AOC site and/or call Yenni directly and may miss it.

Is the Alden DC Cigar captoe boot on the Grant last?

How do I size that if I wear a 7.5D in Barrie?

Lol I am seriously considering selling something in the collection to get on a wait list for that boot, it is too gorgeous.

typically Grant runs TTS. You would likely be an 8D on it but there is an outside chance that 7.5E would work better for you depending on the shape of your foot. I seem to be right between 8 and 8.5 and D and E so sizing is always a PITA for me...

I ended up grabbing my Barrie size got my DC CT boot. I tried on quite a few different sizes but 8.5D is what we decided worked best for me.
