I agree.

This is my first post, but I've been reading this thread for a while.

Here's my 3-year old Chromexcel Indys vs. my Brand New Need Supply Chomexcel Chukkas.

Welcome to the forum. Great patina on those Indy boots. Very well taken care of over three years.

I have unline suede chukkas and they are a little snug in the toe box area. While they are okay without socks, I woundn't mind them being a little roomier. Thinking of going to cobbler and having them stretch it out, wondering if anybody has done this? I don't wanna mess up the shoe its unlined.

Thanks

I they are new they will stretch over time. If they aren't painful, I'd be inclined to leave them and just let nature take it's course. They will conform to your feet.

Naa I've had them for awhile. Not that I wear them a lot, but enough to think they should be broken in. I would like the option of wearing them with socks, hence i don't midn them being more roomie

Gotcha. I would see about getting them stretched. Should be relatively easy.

Take a pair of shoes trees and put two pair of thicker winter socks over them. Then place that inside the shoe. See if that provides enough stretch. If not then go the cobbler route

ingenious idea. have you tried this method before?

My only concern is that it will not only stretch out the widith but also the length of the shoes.

Yes, has worked well for me when some minor stretching was needed
post #76153 of 122416
Ha i've tried that, had them in for two days. Didn't do much. Thanks though for everybody input. I just wanted to know if i shoud avoid the cobbler b/c the suede is unlined.

AppleMark

As a PSA - got a ton of hits off of this interest check. I've just sent out a number of PMs to parties who contacted me re: possible sale details. Thanks all for the interest.

They look amazing! I'm glad they aren't my size...can't spend any money right now. Congrats to whoever picks them up!
