But now I realize that you put that there to cover your name and address.

"While you wait on your shoes...enjoy this bag of tea" How long will it take? OOLONG - very long

Yeah I didn't want you to see the "ransom note" address that a person obviously wrote quickly.

One new thing is that they send out a nice fancy color postcard instead of the old school DOS printed card - my address was printed on that postcard and it looked more like a ransom note than an address.

I just noticed the 20th is this week - they've been in town for a month now.

I'm interested in seeing what my PTB Brooks Brothers in #8 look like. They needed a re-dye & resole for sure and will hopefully be back on my feet by the start of March Madness.

Tampa's address is probably:

Tampatravel
1 Plain toe Dr.
Boringtown, FL

LOL! J/K Tampa!

The great thing about these types of collectiona is that every single pair fills a niche or need. No duplicate pairs. I would suggest adding cordovan boot in color 8 and maybe a balmoral shoe, and you could be done.

King WT for BB - seems like the BB collection is being reduced in certain models, such as this and PTB.  Hardly any sizes left in their stock.

I highly recommend picking up a pair if your size is still available.  BB models are among my favorite Aldens, esp in WT, PTB and the more widely available tassel loafer.

To paraphrase Magritte: "Ceci n'est pas un Indy Boot"

Frans Boone delivered well. Purchased Friday, delivered at 10am today. No customs charges. No signs of try on. Free shoe trees (although for the FB markup compared to stateside purchases, they are arguably the most valuable shoe trees I've ever purchased). They even reached out to me with a special e-mail, recalling that I had inquired about buying the boots with 2 credit cards back in the vanilla visa gift card days. Special thanks to BeSpiffington, who pointed out back in April of last year that these boots were sitting in the Frans Boone inventory for a long while. Special thanks to mdubs for buying the last pair before the restock and rekindling my interest in the shoes...

The happiest moment of the day so far, however, has been when my wife kissed me on the way out the door this morning, looked down at my green stows Trickers and said tenderly, "I love those. Wear them in great health!"

Amazing purchase Doc. Let me know if you decide to sell these in the future as you know who also has 9D in Plaza last nod[1].gif

Thank you. Will do. I may try to thin the herd in a few weeks or so. There are just shoes sitting in the corner of the closet. As I've never sold via ebay or the SF market, I've got quite an inertia to break through.

Hope all is well with you, my friend...

You are extremely welcome my friend. I always knew you wanted those boots. Congratulations and wear them always in the very best of health. Sorry, no kiss. You'll just have to be happy with your wife's.

This is the workhorse of my shoe collection. Worn at least once a week since purchase, sometimes twice.
