inorite? looks like a ravello alpine grain almost. would have jumped aboard bandwagon, but alpine grain wt boots from LeatherSoul purchased about a year ago would be jealous. also, I took the plunge and kopped 2 pairs of trickers recently. sorry for the derail, but let's just say I'm making a comparison with Alden wt boots...

Black from LS

Green from End Clothing uk

no, i will not be pairing these with red laces or socks

I was so disappointed in missing out on those union hill indy boots, I bought these to make up for them.

Why don't I just close my laptop?

Trying to remember all the bad press NRO got last summer on this thread. Aldens are not a substitute for true happiness. Aldens are not a substitute for true happiness.

Speaking of NRO, any chance they run another discount code?

Over on the main thread and their separate MTO thread, there has been talk of teak cordovan, which sort of resembles ravello shell. Note that the shell is not Horween, but is from an Argentinian or Italian maker called Comipel (someone correct me if I'm a bit off on the country of origin). I haven't seen it first hand, but folks on the thread--a number of them regular posters on this thread--seem to be happy. I was thinking of the Stow boot, which looks mostly like an Alden wingtip blucher boot. We could go crazy with options such as dainite sole, various edge trims, pull tabs, eyelets etc. Wait time is somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 weeks once they source the shell. Roughly 12 weeks for calf and suede.

Hey doc, you've been on a kopping spree.
Comipel is an Italian company as far as I know.

Teak cordovan

That teak is what I'm talkin' about...

Just ordered the Union Hill Indy boot.  Super excited, can't wait to receive, and will post pics upon arrival.

They seem pretty sweet.  I used to own the Epaulet Milkshake version, but that pair was getting too marked up and so I sold them.

I'm hoping this pair shows less dirt, denim bleed, etc...

That Union Hill boot looks great. Amazing how I can post a pic of 3 new suede makeups yet still "need" those. Tan suede was a LWB and not a boot so it makes sense, right? satisfied.gif

you need them like you need another injury in fantasy bball. redick smh

I'm sure you'll love them.

Great suede makeups from the other day, BTW. After that storm last night, I'm eagerly awaiting suede weather.

Leffot Tankers AGAIN today. Yep. Breaking the "rules"!

Got my first shoe comment on these yesterday. Was standing at the Chanel counter while my wife was checking out some makeup and just a random guy, maybe in his twenties.... "Hey man, nice boots!". Made me smile.
