In NYC it is relatively easy to source - probably not the answer you are looking for in Tx

Epaulet offers free shipping for orders +$50 (might be your best bet it wouldnt take too much to get you over the hurdle)

tifosi, you just let me know if you ever decide to let those whiskey LWB go. I'm not the biggest fan of whiskey, but I would love those for my casual attire.

Got some from citishoes in NYC. I also saw some on Amazon for about half of the shipping cost. NB: ordering from Amazon may take up to about 10 days to 2 weeks, as this happened when I ordered some renomat recently. Of course, instead of Saphir, you could order a ton of Venetian shoe creme from the fore supply source on Amazon. A better value perhaps...

I added a jar of it to a shoe order from Leffot a while back so I rolled it in with the shipping costs I was already paying for the shoes.

IMO...saphir tons better for shell. Venetion fine on calf. Yes, I know what all the people in the know and horween have said. But for shell my own use has shown Saphir reno rocks, is the bomb or what ever outdated cliché you want to use.

The 8D Trubalance fits closer to my 8D Barries.

Interesting. I haven't used my Venetian yet. The jug just arrived 2 days ago. Experimenting these days with montana pitch blend, which I used on my tobacco chamois. Not a drop of moisture penetrated into the shoe despite my helping a friend push a stuck car in the snow. Going to try it on my cxl indus soon.

They have been a pleasure to work with plus they carry a ton more Saphir items. They're located in San Francisco FYI and Yes, I've ordered from them before.

NAMOR, this is a fantastic idea if a burnished kinda sorta maple leaf in late autumn red shoe or boot is what you really want. If you've got heck a-slammin' fat stacks to spare they are many fine cobblers that would ablige your footwear fancy. I know this is called the "Alden" thread, but in actuality it's the "Horween" appreciation thread because of our shared interest in Nick Horween's leather products. As good as his shell cordovan tanning and finishing process is, there are other suppliers of shell cordovan leather. I was thinking of seeing if someone could match the color of my Horween #4 one-piece belt so that I could get a pair of bruogans which would make everyone weep with envy.

I never understand people's hesitation to use Venetian, other than Saphir is more expensive and therefore 'must' be better.

Venetian does an amazing job on shell, +1 in my book.
