Why did the price on the heel stop you?

Then I won't know whether you successfully use this forum to hawk your shooz and how many messages it takes to do so.

Mine are the unlined ones with the single flex sole. I love my unlined brown CXL dovers so much that I picked up the sand suede ones as well. I don't have any knee issues yet so I never thought about the added structure and thicker sole helping with something like that.

Very True, in that case you better stay up.

Color is beautiful, and I love the antique edging on this model. Passed because of some blemishes I noticed on the shoe. Looks like finish pulled off, but you can't really tell unless in bright lighting or sunlight.

Might be able to work out something. Also you can probably ask to have them sent back to Alden to refinish, but I would avoid this as I have learned from experience while this minor problem may be fixed, another may be created.

I'm surprised they just re-sold these as is. I returned them for the same reason a couple months ago. Small Alden world.....

Thanks, Tampa. I was sick for the past week and pretty much just slept. Trying to catch up.

I never would have thought it.  I wish I had discovered Alden and its double leather-soled dress shoes years ago.  I can walk in my LWBs all day long and feel great.  I don't have the same results with my AE Strands or any other single leather soled shoes.

Really? I don't find the sole thickness to impact me much personally. Are you on your feet a ton at work?

Has anyone with the Alden crepe sole had just the front leather portion replaced? The front of the sole with the leather tip seems to be pretty worn down but the rest of the sole seems to have a lot left on it. Wondering if b nelson carries that piece.

If anyone has what did it cost you.

Thanks

Excuse the terrible phone photos! Alden City Mocs in CXL by Leffot today. By far my most complimented pair of shoes.

^^ Love them! I really wanted the suede versions of those. Maybe later this year.
