My color 8 tanker boots have the same thing. Hardly noticeable. Must be something from the manufacturing process.

Very common. As suspected, it's from the manufacturing process. Many if not most of my Aldens have those holes.

I have the same stitching on a pair of boots. No one will notice it, and it definitely has not gotten worse with use.

Lagsun, your Ravello LWB's are simply awesome. While I truly love my Alden #8 boots, cigar penny's, and 990's , my Ravello LWB's are the most distinctive and unique "made in America" shoes that I own. I'm trying to get in the habit of just leaving them by the door and wearing them whenever.
