It looks like one of the laces on my Indies is going to tear any day now.. Where can I buy a pair of replacement laces for my brown chromexcel Indies?

If you'll excuse me, it's time to go brush all my shoes...

nephew,
use the mac method for shoe care

I am surprised to see you drop 2 full sizes though from your Brannock measurement. I drop .5 for for Trublanace and Barrie

Thanks! Ya it's weird, I think have a long big toe or something that makes the Brannock measurement a bit off, so the width of the shoe matters more than the length for me sometimes.  That also explains why some Barrie shoes I tried on fit great in a 10 but the boots feel a bit tighter.

Leffot has told me in the past that some customers order the same length for both Barrie shoes and boots but go out one width in boots. This may work best for you as well?

I have them and love the design. I am not happy with how the leather on one shoe has 1) formed creases within the creases and 2) turned significantly darker than the other shoe.

The design is great - bombproof leather and sole on a great chassis. My only wish would be that they wore in a little better.

Argh! These pictures of Ravello are making me insane with jealousy!

Does anyone know of anywhere selling ravello shell boots? I guess shoes would be okay, too, but boots would be preferable.

These look great, by the way!

Alden NYC has a Ravello Chukka in stock, I think it was an 11D. It is far darker than what mcarthur posted, however.

Could you post picks when you get a chance? I have considered Leffot's tobacco shoes and boots for a while, but there are very few pics of broken in or worn shoes in this leather on the internet.

Hi guys,

I had a question for you.  I'm in the market for a PTB and have come across these 2 options:

Navy PTB Alden x J.Crew

#8 Shell Cordovan PTB

Which one would you choose and why?  I have never owned any shell cordovan items and am unfamiliar with their care.  I plan on wearing these both in a business casual environment, as well as on the weekend with jeans.  I fear that with the shell, they'd be more suited for the work environment than with jeans?

Thanks for all your help!
