I am so incredibly impressed. I definitely don't have the guts for that!

Tifosi, did you put anything on your shoes? Are your shoes protected? How did the outsole hold up? Did you notice any stains? Are you wearing pants!? I'm still getting over the fact you didn't go barefoot in the snow.

See yah,

It wasn't that bad, guys! Don't be afraid. I didn't wake up and say "it's snowing, let me put on my leather soled, shells" haha. Went to church and it was dry... Came out and it was snowing. Had to run a couple errands and wasn't going to stop home to change my boots, haha. Got home and figured I might as well clean off my wife's car while I was still outside. Still have them on their sides letting the soles dry, so I'll take a look at them later. I'm pretty confident that they are just fine, though.

Some may think you have stones the size of boulders, but I think you are doing exactly what you are meant to do with these boots.... Wear them.

As long as you weren't swimming in salt water...they'll dry, and it will be just fine.

Good for you.

Weren't you afraid of Reno...? HAHA

Fenway, thanks for the cryptic post concerning my search for a cigar Indy in 11D with either double leather antique or commando soles. I'm sorry, I can't stop laughing as I type this because the whole Alden shell cordovan shoe thing is kinda goofy. My girlfriend, saints preserve her, thinks it's totally weird. It's been cold and snowy here in MPLS today. Vikings got crushed in the final minute of course, and Adrian Peterson got injured. Tiger Woods also lost, in a playoff no less, to Zach Johnson. That's all the weather and sports from Minnesnowta. Have a good one, be

BeSpiff sorry to hear about AP...likely cost me a lost in the playoffs of fantasy today.

Just picked up a pair of the cordovan straight tip bluchers at J. Press in Manhattan yesterday. Wonderful shoes, but upon further inspection the stamp on the inner heel says 'Alden for J. Crew'. I'm a bit baffled by this -- any explanation or need for concern? Thanks.

I have seen Alden straight tip bluchers at J Crew for the past few years. I'm guessing J Crew may have offloaded some to J Press. Nothing to be concerned about.

Good god. If they were a full size bigger, I'd own them by now.
