I almost wore mine today, but DC has freezing rain.

Does anyone know whether anyone has ever made a whiskey, single sole, plaza last shortwing (either as a shoe or boot)? That would probably be my ultimate shoe. I know that the MTO program is completely undependable, but would anyone else be in for that make-up?

Thanks! Color 8 is King!

Thank you kindly. No, wish I did though. Can't beat gray flannels in the winter, IMO.

No problem sir. Just about any pattern of Harris Tweed will work with grey flannel.

Is that pre-order still available for others to jump on? ha

Trying to catch up with 150+ posts.  Wasn't going to comment or reply to any posts as I don't have much time.  However, I feel compelled to say something about THE unequivocally best Alden for J Crew make-up, EVER (past, present, and future).  Still scarred for not pulling the trigger during the smallest of windows several years ago.  I've been wearing suede bucks and saddles since the age of 12.  These are the absolute best I have ever seen.  Good day for your saddles MrDV!

The commando sole is even better than my dream make-up! I hope that the Shell Gods (Horween) look favorably on you all.

why? scared of stains? spray them. wear them. roughed up suede has an endearing quality that i think looks great.

Yes sir - the sprays don't mess with the suede?  Just waterproofed some black boots for my girl and she thinks they don't look as good (oberhauf's silicon waterproofer) I know apples and oranges but just reinforced my fears.

I used Nano Protector on my Alden suede. Noticed no difference and incredible protection.

Have you since used a suede brush to raise the nap back up?  Never used that particular brand, but have used a few other brands of suede spray that did not change the appearance or texture.

hmm thanks - maybe I'll take the plunge.. just what I needed, another thing to spend money on.
