Would you go, for casual/bizcaz:

1. Nat CXL Longwing (double waterlock sole)
2. Nat CXL captoe boot
3. Greenwich Navy CXL shortwing boot

I know the color 8 LWB is always out there, but the black edging seems a littttle more formal than I'm looking for.

I just placed a pre-order for #1 in 10D. They will be my 3rd pair of Aldens. Currently own #8 Chukka and have a pre-order on 403s from J. Crew I was able to use a 25% off promo on.

did i hve to spend some candys for the Alden gods? there must be a temple!?smile.gif
did this run only about the pre order lists? and how i came thrue it?

questions about questions

Context Clothing has color #8 Tankers on pre-order with scheduled delivery in May and 12.5 and 13 are available (in D and E widths). FWIW, I've done pre-orders twice with Context and each time they came in when they were expected to.

Anyone have a photo of what the darker ravello looks like compared to the lighter? Why has the most recent batch been darker then past? To hide imperfections?

Thinking about investing in some shell Indys. Are they that difficult to come by? Is it generally accepted that the Trubalance last runs a half-size larger so I should order down? I suppose there's never a discount available on these, right?

Right now, I'm trying to determine if I should be concerned about the sole stitching around the welt of my new 403s (firsts). I've never had any shoes where it came this close to the edge, and being at the toe, this concerns me.

FYI - I just called Leffot to see if they will be releasing any shell Aldens in the near future.  I was told they will have two #8 offerings in the near future.

A plain toe (I think) boot with a crepe sole and an unlined dover pattern shoe with antique edge and brass eyelets.  I'm pretty such I'm remembering the shoe/boot attributes correctly, but I could be wrong about the smaller details.

Just wanted to pass that along if anyone is interested.

I would love to do that each morning, but I'm not sure I would have much energy left for the day (my work days start at 7:30).  I suppose I would have to go to bed earlier than midnight though.
