Agreed 100%,  I think AoC must have left it off their boot so it could be an "exclusive."

^ In response to Tifosi, I like that you know exactly what you want and have the discipline to hold out for it. I'd cave in. I'm having trouble resisting the JGilbert Plaza wingtip even though I have two new wingtip boots (RL Lindrick and Carmina Steinbeck).

Test drove a really nice car a few months ago. I had to decide between car payment or shoe addiction. Shoes won.
I plan to spend frivolously on shell through next summer. I will start looking for a car next fall.

It ain't easy, buda. Part of me wants to buy everything now cause I feel things are only going to get worse even for #8 and black.

I've been flirting around with the idea of a new car as well. I've had a car payment since my early 20's, but I have been without for the past 2 years. I love it and don't know if I could go back.

sorry to hear about the mixup! I wonder if someone expected a 9 got your 8's. You may want to check with Kathy before selling them to someone else.

If mine look as good as these I will be very psyched.

Thanks, Ryden.  No, I called and they in fact rang it up as a 9D.  So it's their mistake.  They did offer to exchange for an 8D PTB in cigar.  If you recall, I sold a pair of cigar PTBs not too long ago and kind of regret it.  Should I go for it?  They have it on hold for me anyway.  I was hoping for a whiskey though.  Oh well ...

Nice shot...with the dark shoes on light wood with dog looking up, it appears you are levitating at first glance.

It does appear that your dog is observing in awe as you are suspended in air.  Nice gunboats, btw.

Don't compromise.  Hold out for the whiskey PTBs.  The glow of whiskey shell is unmatched by any color, and it only improves with age. See if you can negotiate a discount on the same shoe when it becomes available.

The Alden store in DC is great. Good luck with your decision. Cheers.

At first, I thought you were advocating abstaining from alcohol as another way to save money for the shoe fund. You can imagine my relief when I realized that I misread your comment.
