indys are looking good, one step closer to wrapping up on my purchase frenzy lol

tiger striping can kind of be seen on these old NST boots I bought (and returned). those were purchased close to a year ago. weird that the NST shoe that arrived today suffers from it too, but both pair of ravello I got last month, albeit an entirely different shade of ravello, do not suffer from it.

some might be okay with it and chalk it up to personality of the shoe, but I'm not a fan.

the good thing is, shoemart had a pair of whiskey NST still in my size. so they'll get swapped for the ravello and all will be well :worship2:

Are those 10.5D? If not, there may still be a pair available in that size.

Thanks again everyone...and these are the 10D, so the 10.5 may still be there. I have a Lindrick coming tomorrow, and now my wallet is hoping the boot doesn't work.

^ Great Indys. Not helping my resolve to not buy RL/C&J Gianni, though hoping my size is gone by the time I get home. You've had quite a run - now you'll even throw some whiskey into the mix.

Once you see the LIndrick you will be fired up if the sizing works for you and miserable if it doesn't.

Fantastic as always. I keep saying that my next purchase will be a pair of monks in black or color 8 shell; somehow I always buy something else. Photos like this will keep me on the right path.

Awesome. Someone (not me) should try and pick them up. Call TSM: 10.5d, FD-6841, on the Aberdeen.

Thank you! I love them! After some trial and error, I'm learning that I'm mainly a Barrie- or Trubalance-footed kind of guy. These are incredibly comfortable, can't say the same for my Grant CT (sadly).

I find my Grant captoes pretty comfortable. Although not as comfortable as my commando soled Indys...

Glad to hear that. I went half size larger (TTS) for the grant, but I don't think the shape of the last is ideal for my feet (expensive lesson). My shell Indies are on the double water-locked sole, and even though they're not really broken in yet, they're quite comfortable. Hearing good things about commando, but I have yet to experience a pair. I opted for this combo because I like how it's a "tweener" between casual and dress.

I've been really into my #8 boots lately, wearing a pair just about every day now that it is finally cool around here. Here's a few shots of my regular rotation. These are all 8D Barrie lasted boots.
