Barbour is good. I picked up a Beaufort recently in black but may return it for a Bedale. I've worn a Liddesdale for two years, it is one of my favorites. I have the olive and have considered navy or black as well. All go very well with Alden shoes of all kinds.

Not sure what those jackets look like, but take a look at Best Made as well.

Doc, to compliment your Burberry top coats I would suggest a traditional three-button Harris Tweed houndstooth check sport coat, without elbow patches of course. I find mine to be warm and extremely comfortable, and they look great when one has a tie on. They're tough, classy, and always appropriate for a city/country gentlemen physician such as yourself, even those who have Koi ponds. Textural fabrics like wools and linens enhance the look of shell cordovan and suede shoes or boots. Just a suggestion.

I have yet to pick up a pair or those, need to finish destroying my plebian Indys first wink.gif

I wonder how my suede MTO Carminas will handle gardening. Let me go see...

i use my tabacco chamois indys as hiking boots. just this past week i climbed up half dome. i think once i retire that pair, ill make the next ascent with the cigar indy biggrin.gif

Suede is great. itll hold up over the long run but I just cant tolerate how suede seemingly is a magnet for dirt stains, water marks, etc. Yeah itll come off but you have to brush it off. on the other hand, water marks, stains are a non-issue with calf and shell as most liquid and debris rolls off

of course not. If anything blue collar and I are on the same page. I appreciate blue collars posts of him wearing his $700 aldens to a job site, etc.

and what would make you think it was a cheap shot?

^ I've got these incoming. Do I need a suede belt or can I get away with cognac, walnut or tan calf? I'd like more of a dress belt, not too casual. AE's Player's Belt is on sale, but might be too casual, not a fan of the buckle.

Considering this one from Rancourt:

Any thoughts?

My shell comes off and the work boots go on before I turn a wrench, however.

Hydrauic Oil and ravello does not mix.

Man, you've got to move fast on certain shoes. Saw these at work and was going to purchase when I got home. They're already gone. Probably for the best but it was a beautiful shoe.

RTP: ..... For me, the color 8 shortwings will have to suffice. I've been on the fence for the wingtip boots as they are very similar to this shoe. Anyone have any thoughts??

For nearly every shell boot I own, I also own the corresponding shoe. If it's a style you like, go for it.
