Unfortunately the speed limit on my street is still going to be 30mph and I'd do better just walking to the store in my Alden shells. Rats, foiled by pragmatism again.

We would all be Puritan's if we didn't indulge in Style upgrades - both of those are definitely style upgrades bespiff

You are right on both accounts. The only thing that will tell better time than your (and my) Rolex will be a quartz watch! LMAO!
I have really been trimming down in all areas of my life besides shoes at the moment. I am on the cusp of selling my last watch, my SS Sub, as it just doesn't make sense to me at the moment. I'm sure, in time, I'll have the same realization about shoes. I'm enjoying the ride at the moment!

Be, I just went and saw a little Porsche 911 50th Anniv. exhibit at a local race car museum on Sat. I think you should get the Carrera! stirpot.gif

Here are my cordovan Indy cigar boots drying out next to the wife's Wolverine 1,000 mile boots after a Sunday afternoon of gardening and planting trees as seen this Monday morning.

DonL is seriously in the running for Best Dressed on this thread.  Consistently, he not only has impeccable shoes, but the combination with  other clothes, and the clothes themselves are superb.  That houndstooth coat is the shits and looks perfect with those great looking pants.  Hat's off.

If Mac is uncle, Don L is the Godfather.

I don't have any wingtip boots, but I have these on order from AOC, a very elegant pair

+1 on that houndstooth coat. I want it! Any details on that, Don?

If those are really cigar cordovan Indys, Patek gets the award for Most Gumption.  Or maybe it should be called Walking the Walk.  I know shell is tough, but to use an exotic cordovan instead of, for example, the more ubiquitous King Cordovan takes cajones.

Or maybe a second pair of cigar cordovan Indys lurking in the closet.

Love to see a cleaned up picture.

I'm not sure what you mean by "if those are really..." What else would they be? These are BOOTS! These have been one of my go-to winter and fall boots for slushing around in rain, sleet, and snow. Cleaning is very easy--just wipe with a damp cloth. My "good" boots are EG and C&J. I believe I purchased them about two years ago but have no plans on replacing them any time soon. I'll clean them up tonight and snap a picture for you.

Here are the same boots last fall, you can see how the creasing is the same.

Thanks guys

That Sports coat is a new acquisition from the B&S.  It is a Super 120's ISAIA that I got for a steal

They don't seem to have this color cigar any more, but I picked these up from The Shoe Mart about two years ago. They seem to only have them in black and #8 now even though the description is still talking about cigar shell.

My black tankers are going to be my go to heavy boot this winter... Same with the cigar captoes (which I already wear in the rain)... The black captoes and color 8 tankers will be spared...

I plan on wearing my en-route #8, commando Indys as my go to boot this winter.

This is not ok with me ffffuuuu.gif.

Yes cordovan is a tough material, but they make real work boosts for doing work. Cigar shell indy, imo, is far from a "work boot".

Whats next?!? Mucking about in the muddy Scottish highlands in full brogues because that's where they came from?

Granted, they are your boots.

Edit: I may just be angry because I don't have those boots ha ha
