However, I agree, the party was much better before.

Mac, Sazon, and Mr. DV are probably the 3 drunkest at this party, but they are holding it together pretty well.  Not sloppy drunk by any means.  They are still conducting themselves very respectably.

I need to leave this party. No one told me I'd be let in for free but somehow leave with a much, much smaller wallet. High fives all around gentlemen. Please don't spill your drinks.

Anybody that wears 10.5-11.5 should check out ebay seller muchocoins (not me). Lots of new suede and cxl options with very very reasonable buy-it-now prices.

Will there be too much of a difference if i go from a "D" width to a "E" width while not sizing up?

Basically its just the width that is going to be wider?

Any change in length as well even slightly?

I tried on a pair of color-8 LHS loafers after a full day of walking and socks.

Fits ok overall with a little bit of room.

BUT the part where the strap is, is very tight, kinda painful even.

Maybe its new?

Does cordovan stretch much?

Will moving to a E-width be better or should i size up?

Pain in the vamp of the LHS is a common issue that is difficult to really fix. I wear 9.5E in Barrie and have a pair of 9.5EE Leisure Handsewn Moccasins that are some of my most comfortable shoes. I can potentially to 10E in LHS but there continues to be pressure along the vamp (which vexes me because I passed up a whiskey LHS due to this issue).

takashi78, the LHS is onthe Van last, which just doesn't work for some folks, including me. Before I bought my first pair, I tried on at least five different sizes at Alden San Francisco (8E, 8.5D, 8.5E, 9C, 9D) before settling on an 8.5D (same as my Barrie size).

The problem is that the Van last is relatively shallow when measured from sole to vamp, and the strap can be pretty tight if you have higher than average arches. I've got medium-high arches and the LHS would just murder my feet by the end of the day. I scored some sweet whiskey LHS seconds from ShoeMart and tried really hard to break them in, but eventually had to sell them off.

For what it's worth, the Crockett & Jones for Ralph Lauren cordovan loafers (called either Darlton or Marlow) fit true to size and have a higher-volume, more forgiving fit. I picked up a pair and love them, though I am sorry they're not the classic color #8.

Maiden voyage for my new Leffot Brown CXL boots.

I love these things but the brass eyelets remind me of somebody.

That's why they are awesome.

That those boots evoke Flav is the great thing about them, not a detraction.  Get your priorities straight and love them boots!

Enjoy those boots and thank you for making me laugh out loud after a long day.

Oh don't get me wrong, I love these!  These will undoubtedly be my go-to's.  I had always lusted after LS Vanguard boot.  I will trade the cap toe on the Vanguard for the commando sole on these every time.

only thing i cant stand about brass makeups are the brass speedhooks. glad my only pair of brass makeups are all eyelets

Looking good! I just received mine today and look forward to lots of wear this fall. Surprised the fit is so different from the CXL and shell versions I have tried in the past. Would you say the fit has stayed "true" with these as they have been broken in?
