I spoke with someone there and they will do it if you contact them in time.

I asked for them to order the white suede PTB in 11E and he told me it could be done, but since they already placed the order for summer 2014, I'd have to wait for summer 2015 at the earliest.

Dark Brown Suede PTB, breaking in quite nicely!

I cannot get enough of these.  Super comfortable and light, the colour really pops in natural light.

You basically just walked in to a party where everyone else is already drunk, all the good booze are gone, and the only thing left are the remains of a keg of malt liquor that is warm and flat.

(Not to say that Black and 8 aren't also nice, but this is pretty much how he should feel.)

They do.  I asked to be put on the email list for pre-orders and put a deposit down for a pair of EEE boots.  You have about a week to respond and put a deposit down.

^ those shoes were neglected. shell looks so dry its bound to crack. to alden's credit, the #8 paint gives license to carelessness and neglect

I'm curious about the moc stitching. The LHS for BB uses white thread, but I've never seen it that pristine, even on brand new pairs. It almost looks as though it was recently replaced.

unionmade has told me that in its shoes it buys for its store, it orders only "d" widths.  Unionmade does keep a list of people who are interested in being alerted to Alden orders where one can preorder a specific size, whether or not  that size is one of the sizes it typically stocks - "e" widths, for example.  When Unionmade has certain orders confirmed, it contacts the people on the preorder list to see if they wish to preorder their size.  If so, Unionmade collects a deposit towards the cost of the preordered shoe and bills the balance when the shoes are delivered to Unionmade.  The deposit is not refundable.

Unionmade makes some great make-ups, and it sounds like you agree.  Give it a call.

Certainly surprisingly good condition considering 7 years old, especially when compared to the condition of the rest of the shoe. Is it possible to get the stitching redone?

Love this analogy. Mostly because back in the day I was perfectly happy with warm malt liquor.
