Sorry for posting the incorrect style number. I meant to post 9015. Could be Dyslexia or early Alzheimer's.

I own two pair of Baldwins (The 77 in Cone Mills Yellow and Henley in Kaihara). They are great denim. Given that they are sanfordized you will not get too much shrink after your 1st wash; typically 1" or so in length. I would suggest using Railcar Fine Goods for your hemming to ensure proper chain-stitching.

Great looking shoes and, as always, impeccably maintained and presented.  But, sadly, completely and totally inappropriate for chinos.

Like wearing a morning coat with denim short pants.

i agree that men of good will, etc.  But wrong is wrong.  (kidding).

While I personally wouldn't wear my 9015s with anything less than a suit, I get the feeling that Uncle Mac's amount of life experience (read: age) and overall mien allow them to be worn appropriately with khakis.

Awesome, thanks. Are all Baldwin sanforized? Where did you find that info? The Henley I own I bought off the Baldwin site, so looking at the description now it says "Indigo dyed 13oz Nihon Menpu Japanese selvage denim". Is that sanforized? I have so much to learn about denim still. Should I get any taper I want done performed at the same time? Is the "original hem" chainstitch service important or is the regular chain stitch hem okay? Thanks so much!
