I have been looking for a leather-soled cap toe blucher boot in shell, and the options are shockingly limited at the moment. Naturally I don't expect to be able to find ravello easily, but at least #8!

The only ones I can find are J.Crew and a pair at shoemart, but neither has my relatively common true 7.5D size. Patiently waiting...

Steven from Leffot told me a few months ago that he was expecting some Ravello cap toe boots at the end of this year. If I remember correctly they will be on the grant last. Give him a call or email to see if those are still happening.

Mine are actually on Plaza last... I got them at the Madison Ave. store. I walked in and they just happened to have a pair that fit me. And since Imageshack seems to be permanently goofed up, I uploaded the pre-restoration picture again:

Just bought the Plaza Cap Toe shell cordovan in size 10D. Kinda tight around the ankles without me even tying the laces. My toes aren't smushed and I can wiggle them slightly. Wondering if I size up to a 10.5D if that will make a huge difference. I'm a size 10D on Jcrew's Alden Indys (I think are the trubalance last).

I'm pretty sure these are the boots I posted upthread, I tried them on at The Tannery in Cambridge. they fit actually really lose around the ankles for me...there was all this extra leather pillowing out around my ankles

WHats a good Alden boot (if any) thatd be mostly worn with jeans and leather jackets. Both black and darkish brown options? Oh and no cap toes or wingtips? Cant get myself to wear any.

Generally the Trubalance fits bigger by a half size, whereas the Plaza fits true-to-size. If a 10D on the Truebalance fits you well, then you should try a 10.5D on the Plaza. I haven't tried the Plaza last, but I do find that the above description of the Truebalance to be true.

Hey guys,

It's been twelve long months, but our Alden for Epaulet Officer's Indy & Brixton Boots have finally arrived! Check them out below. Preorders zapped about 40% of our inventory, so stock is really tight on them - but we've still got most sizes covered.

Alden for Epaulet Officer's Indy in Dark Brown Chromexcel: $465

Alden for Epaulet Brixton Boot in Black Calfskin: $465

Be careful about using the one picture for color choice. There can be a lot of variation of the color from the picture to real life. Some girl was crying about this recently. But that is a good looking boot IMHO.
