ReppTieMaster,

I am totally with you. That same issue always surfaces whenever I see another's pair of shells... Sorry about instigating the Cigar LHS craze for you. Happy hunting.

Too big for me. I actually am an 11B on the Aberdeen Loafers. You may try calling Alden DC about Whiskey SWB. They may have your size.

Those Whiskeys are so beautiful. I really am looking forward to acquiring some one day... Enjoy your dinner and best of luck convincing the wife to allow you to expand your collection...

Burnished tan is very underrated.  I really like the burnished tan SWB (also available at Epaulet), but my wife would have a cow if she saw another "brown pair of shoes" delivered to our doorstep.  However, she would be pleasantly surprised at how much cheaper they are compared to most (of the shells) that show up!

My friends, I just had an epiphany...  lol8[1].gif

RTP, as an arbiter of good taste your judgment has no equal.

By all means, please continue with your outstanding contributions.  The pics looked very professional.  Maybe some of these shoe dealers will catch a glimpse and request your services.  We all know most could use the help.

Cousin, thank you for the kind words.  We could all use that kind of good fortune.  Luckily for me though, in my wife and daughter, I have found and possess my grails.  (pretty cheeeesy I know, but true)

You wear those well rtp. Great looking shoes, nice shine too.
I have similar conversations with my wife regarding brown shoes every couple of months.
I also wear my tremonts, plaza, grant, and alden for bb true to size.

I have to say that I had a very pleasant experience at Alden DC. Kathy was extremely nice and of course knowledgable. I also really like the fact that she really doesn't pressure you into buying stuff or feel "salesman" like at all.

I hope that you enjoyed all of my new acquisitions. Apologize for the long post, but I enjoy photography almost as much as my shell cordovan Aldens, so had to share.

-Mike

Bravo mike, amazing shopping spree.
The shoes, the belts, the photographs... Great post sir.

Where's a good place to pick up the tools and products necessary for the mac method? My order for my first pair of shells comes in a month or two and it's time to get ready biggrin.gif

is burnished tan a reddish tan? i was just wondering because alden has a "burnished tan" a "dark tan" and a "walnut".

I get all my cloths and brushes from Allen Edmonds due to their pricing, quick turn around, and free shipping. Also their stuff is high quality.

I get my Alden paste wax from Alden DC or SF direct or from ShoeMart.
