I am on a list with Alden DC for the Whiskey SWB. I was out there last week and asked Kathy about them, she said that she was thinking/hoping that she would be able to get them for Spring of 2014. If you are interested, check with Kathy. They do have a few pairs remaining of their last run of them, but nothing anywhere near my size. Good luck!

Last week, I was in Washington D.C. and adjusted my schedule a little to be able to swing by Alden DC.

They happened to have a pair of Cigar LHSes in my size, so I picked them up. Here are the pictures of them.

They also had a Cigar Belt in my size, so here they are with my Cigar Aldens (the new Cigar LHSes and my Cigar Straight Tips from ShoeMart) and also with my Crockett Jones for RL Marlows. (P.S. they had a few other Cigar belts in stock, but not many if anyone is interested).

Finally, I picked up a Whiskey Belt as well. Here they are with my Whiskey LWBes that I got a several weeks ago from CitiShoes.

And... Finally had the chance to properly capture my new Alden for Brooks Brothers Unlined Color 8 LHSes. I haven't started breaking these in yet, but I am very excited and am actually amazed by how much lighter they feel from my new Cigar LHSes. I really like seeing that Horween stamp for some reason.

I have to say that I had a very pleasant experience at Alden DC. Kathy was extremely nice and of course knowledgable. I also really like the fact that she really doesn't pressure you into buying stuff or feel "salesman" like at all.

I hope that you enjoyed all of my new acquisitions. Apologize for the long post, but I enjoy photography almost as much as my shell cordovan Aldens, so had to share.

Wow, I really now wonder what your wife's shoe collection looks like. Especially after seeing snapshots of your exquisite shoe collection.

Louis Vuitton bags are her vice.   Apparently Stewart Weitzman suits here narrow foot the best.

mdubs, you are a talented photographer and possess impeccable taste.  I love the cigar LHS. Not sure if I could pass up those cigars if the opportunity were to arise.  Every time I tell myself it's time to lay off Aldens for a long while, I see something here that challenges my self control. Ugh!! baldy[1].gif  Wear in great health my friend...

Nice acquisitions.  Some seriously good pick-ups.  Wear in good health.  Thanks for all the pics.  I like posts with a lot of good pics, I just don't like when 20 people quote a post with a lot of pics and not use the spoiler function or delete the pics.

RTP, as an arbiter of good taste your judgment has no equal.

PSA I just returned a pair of 11.5D Ravello Tassels to Pelle Line, unfortunately they were too big for me. They will be there Friday.
