Quick Question:

I'm going to be in close proximity of THE SHOE MART in Norwalk, CT, here in a few weeks. Do they offer their Alden 2nds at their Brick & Mortar store? Of course I could call the store, but I'd take the info off this board more seriously quite frankly.

Thanks for all the help!

As long as folks are talking buying and selling...I am still looking for (not 8 or black) shell longwings or wingtip boots in size 8 barrie or equivalent. May even be interested in other models in this size. Just let me know. In fact, if I didn't already have shell 8 indys, I'd be talking to Michigan Planner about his Whisky Indys (they look sooo nice everytime I scroll down to the bottom of one of his posts).

Really love these.  Wish I could find in my size.  They look great.  Enjoy them!

citishoes has longwings, PTB and NSTs in some of the less common cordovan colors.  You would have to call to see if in your size.

Yes, they have walls of seconds and more in the back of the store. Good hunting!

You mean these ones? mwink[1].gif

I was getting dressed for work this morning and decided to take them out of the closet and off the market. nod[1].gif

After not wearing them for months, I think I suddenly like them much much more. I guess absence really does make the heart grow fonder.

Sorry if I'm breaking any rules but since this is the Alden thread I thought there was no problem letting you guys know.

Thanks,

Maybe. I don't know what protocol is but If I could see some pic's and get a price, I might be interested.

So, I have to choose between the lesser of two evils if I want to buy a pair of 975's. My foot is  pretty wide, but measured 10.5 on a Brannock device.
I have a pair of 9432S in 11EE and they fit me, except being too wide in the heel, same goes for a pair of unlined sudede bluchers in 11E. I also have the Indy in 10.5EEE. It seems the 975 can't be ordered in different heel and toe widths. I think 11 C/EEE would have been pretty bang on.

What would be the better choice of 11EE, which is going to be a bit long, or the 10.5EEE which is going to be too big in the heel area?
