A strange question. I was trying on the unlined flex welt chukka today, and I have a wide foot. They're a bit tight around the toes. because theyre unlined suede, will they stretch to fit?

D width or E? You should try to go E if possible. The suede will likely loosen over time however you probably don't want your small toe hanging over the welt. It could be on the welt, just not over.

I'm usually a 9E in allen edmonds. I was thinking of getting the AE Amok (flextwelt ripoff), but wanted the alden. However the Es I tried for some reason had something digging into my arch, which I couldn't stand. All of them, and the D didn't. I dont think it would be hanging OVER the welt but I just wanted to know I guess if they stretch. I have no illusion that a lined shoe will stretch but maybe unlined, I was hoping, might.

I do think it will stretch a bit over time.

So, I was in NYC earlier this week on business and was able to stop by Leffot, Epaulet and Moulded Shoe in the limited free time I had. This was my first experience with the Modified last. Holy crap was that a comfortable fit. For anyone who hasn't experienced it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out some time.

I will very likely be ordering something from Moulded Shoe in the near future.

Seriously. And even smaller here, at 10.5 or 10.
