Great looking boots MrDV. The plaza Indy's are distinctively fashionable.

I understand the appeal of plaza boots but they look a bit dainty (for lack of a better word) for my liking. Alden SanFran had some color 8 Indys in Barrie last about 6 months ago (looks like they have just 2 sizes left). That is better for a slimmer than Trubalance boot IMO although I personally like the original Trubalance myself.

Makes perfect sense. You can't really last shell as tightly as calf so this tracks and shell will feel a bit bigger

Not to play the contrarian, but my shell LWBs are without a doubt more snug than my calf LWBs.  Can not speak for PTBs though.

Your Ravello boots and argyles are an especially flattering combination.

Those are some beautiful belts. I just don't like the buckle and they can't change them anymore as they are already made.

Beautiful strap. Where is this from?

Based on the fact there's been few...if any shell cordovan belts available lately, and 1 piece shell belts are ultra rare, I pulled the trigger on a color 8 belt. I've got a really good cobbler near me that could change the buckle if necessary. However while its not as good as the last round of belts...I don't have any problems with an all brass buckle, specially for casual. Am I missing something here?

See Ya,

I also got a pair of the dark brown Brook Brothers suede penny loafers that are on sale.

I just grabbed a #8 as well. Buckle is not ideal or as good as the last one, but I don't think you are missing anything.

Cigar LWBs. No ravello yet to contribute today...

To each his own. Though not 1 piece I'm very happy with my allen edmonds shell cordovan belts that come with a nice silver buckle and at $165 a piece (what I paid) you could get a variety of colors for the price of one of these 1 piece belts. I guess it depends on how much you get sucked into the whole "rare" thing. i can afford one, but I'd never spend that much on a belt.
