the marcoliani merino wool argyles are not on there maiden voyage. wearing this brand for many years, I would recommend. they are on the expensive side

Sorry Uncle, I meant that I thought I hadn't seen you post this particular pair of socks before. Your posts are what convinced me to try the Marcoliani wool OTC argyles, and I'm wearing a pair of the chocolate today.

Just in case anyone is looking for a nice cordovan wallet to go along with their aldens, Ashland Leather of Chicago has re-stocked some nice stuff. I just received a "dark cognac" billfold aka johnny the fox. The color is identical to what Alden calls cigar and the photo below illustrated the similarity to my Alden cigar PTB (virtually identical). I can't speak to the durability considering that I got it this week but the construction quality appears to be very high. Horween sells Ashland goods in their webstore so I take that as a pretty solid endorsement.

They aren't cheap by any means at $200-$225 but somewhat lower than other shell cordovan wallets currently on the market. The have #4, #8, and black at $200 and dark cognac at $225.

Nice looking wallet. +1 for Ashland Leather. I've had several very pleasant interactions with them resulting in some beautiful Horween leather goods.

Thank you very much!

Cap toe or Straight toe, either one was on my must have in cigar.  I've scored a lot of cigar and whiskey in the last few weeks.  However...no LHS though.  I'm surprised I was able to find NST on Aberdeen, in slip on and lace up in Cigar and Whiskey, Cigar and Whiskey Chukkas, Whiskey Wing Tip Bal, plus Whiskey NST on Barrie, and Ravello NST on Barrie from TSM, my original pairs I got in April.  I even scored whiskey and cigar belts which I thought was pretty cool since Alden has not made belts for 2 years!

But...........

Nobody had any LHS, nor boots of any type in the rare colors.

The quest continues.

See Ya,

Steve

I was sweating their whiskey wallet for some time now, but I purchased the ruby shell "fat something" last night. I'll post pics when it arrives.

Does anyone know why the cool sf kids use "copped" for purchased? I tried looking it up in urban dictionary and google, they gave me a definition but not the origin.
