thanks for the heads up about the leffot #8 on antique. just grabbed a pair, along with the tarrago suede protector..
now to decide what to do with these jcrew captoes
Nicely done Alcibiades! Excellent collection and fine new pick-up. I like the absence of speed-hooks and the antique edge! NYC guys definitely have a nice advantage over the rest of us... . Thanks for the posting!
Didn't you make a series of similar posts here a few months ago? (I apologize if I am mistaking you for someone else.)
Either way, not sure that those types of posts are welcome here, however, I can only speak for myself.
Edit: If someone here has a pair that they were interested in selling, they would likely post them in B&S or on eBay, so why not just look there?
seeing these #8 with natural edging today has me thinking about trying to convert some modified last PTBs that I have around here..
does anyone know if B.Nelson can do that with the modified last? I'll contact them next, figured I'd ask here..
B. Nelson changed out a pair of Modified perforated cap toes for me and they came out awesome.
Thank you my friend! The pic of the PTB is from when they were brand new; they now have some nice character with a little creasing. The LWB has some wear and some minor creasing also. With about ten bluchers in the rotation, they all tend to remain looking fairly new. I also baby them a little bit also.
Thank you my friend for the kind words! No, I'm 10D. The PTB is a little narrower than the LWB. Additionally, if you're looking for a sleeker looking PTB, I would go with the Alden for BB PTB, if you don't mind the eyelets. With a sleeker last and no 360' storm welt, it looks much dressier. I probably would have gone with it, but I found the 990 and 9901 with significant discounts (about $490 each shipping included and no tax). Best of luck...
RTP, could you guide me as to where I can get the 9901s at a discount? Thank you for being so helpful
