Makes the boot a bit more casual than I'd like, but looks like you've gotten some great use out of them

It is my casual beater boot...I do not baby these at all...rain, snow, beach, mud etc...the rest of my boots are more dressy ('cept for maybe the CXL).

Here they are in contrast to newer #8 wingtips:

...and cuz I would much rather take pictures of my boots than work- here is the whole gang: (the PTB are over 20yrs old)

Man those aged incredibly. Doesn't even resemble #8 anymore. Well done.

Here are the two boots I was deciding between, both black cordovan captoes with speedlaces. Alden SF size 8.5D on the barrie, double oak, blind eyelets, and Alden DC size 9D on the grant, commando sole and agytyne eyelets. The SF boot is on my left foot and is the left boot in the side by side pics. I had a whale of a time deciding, as you can see these are very similar, but I'm going with the Alden SF, the Barrie last was just slightly more comfy, the commando sole was chunky for what I wanted, and i like the blind eyelets.

Can we see a close up of the 20 yr old PTB's? 20 yrs ago I was still in college in rural NH, feet shod with Stan Smiths or hiking boots in winter.

Anyone know who has an Indy boot in natural CXL? Shoe Mart is sold out in my size. Leffot sold a run nearly a year ago and is out now, save for one not in my size. Frans Boone has it now, but after shipping & their markup it comes to $660 which is just nuts.

Second, if I'm a 9.5D on the barrie, what am I on the truebalance?

You might want to try Moulded Shoe. If they don't have any they may still have an order open.

9.5D in Barrie is the same on TruBalance.

Gents,

I'm after a pair of these.

Trouble is, The Shoe Mart appears to be out of stock, and they don't accept returns on international orders.

Alden San Fran charge $135 for international orders, which is outrageous IMHO.

Any suggestions as to where else I might be able to get hold of these shoes?

Cheers,

Eightace
