Yea, these are awesome, I love them.
For some reason this makes me sad. Best of luck with whatever the future brings. confused.gif

+1, NYIslander has been a valuable contributor to this thread and others on SF.  I have always enjoyed your pics nod[1].gif and posts, and I appreciate your particular style.  All the best...

We'll all have to visit NYI on the Yellowhook Necktie Appreciation thread (that's the business of which he speaks, I believe). It's just down the Internet, right here on SF.

He doesn't mention it specifically in his post, leaving it to the more appropriate spots such as his avatar and the link in his signature.

So I'll mention it. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

And I won't even post any photos of C&J shoes... smile.gif

speaking of the fransboone indy boot/whatever hybrid that has been discussed recently, here is another photo (as some, myself included, commented on the whiskey'ish shade)

major props to frans for a ridiculously quick response to my email this morning. i'm deciding if I want to grab them, but am trying to force myself to wait until some potential fundage comes into play.. was hoping to grab some cigar or ravello LWB from them also but they are currently OOS in my size frown.gif

This deserves attention.

Gee, that makes tons of sense.  I ordered two different cordovans on two different occasions.  I received shipping info on both pairs only to receive a follow-up email a week later saying they didn't actually have what I ordered in stock.

Thank god JCrew had a screaming deal on Cordovan's this past weekend.

Seems they raised their prices since I ordered. smile.gif

I always thought they call them gunboats because the strip of brogueing that runs the length of the shoe looks like cannon portholes on the side of a gunboat

This is the boot in question.

That's a very nice example of the Kudu Indy.  I like the Goodyear sole.  The LS Ultimate Kudu Indy might be an option too (if they do another run).  Their makeup is similar with a commando sole.

If it's a Barrie last, there are a few Alden dealers who will post an MTO for you.  Just sign up 12 people.  Try the Alden MTO thread

5 year anniversary, still going strong.

In full sunlight the colour is much closer to the first pic; second pic taken in dreary light.
