Deep Eggplant color on these is spectacular. What a shoe.

In the mean time, I've ordered the #8 version but I'm not sure if I'll keep it. I don't think it will go with my typical attire (mostly khakis or gray slacks).

Does anyone know if anyone has any in cigar shell?

1) Alden NYC stocks cigar Indy boots - call them to see if they have them in your size or if you can get on a preorder
2) The color 8 Indy is great as well, it will likely go with your attire

After wearing my whiskey Indy boots all weekend I am really coming around to the idea of cordovan Indy boots

Thanks for the suggestion. I called them and they have some on order but no ETA. He's thinking 8 months.

^ condition on those doesn't look too bad. I've seen much worse get sold on eBay. It all depends on how much you'd be willing to spend or these. I think somewhere between 250-300 would be a fair price.

The condition looks quite good, so it may be a great opportunity to save some money.  Call me anal, but that black marker on the sock liner would annoy the crap out of me though.  shog[1].gif

There isn't anything wrong with those boots.

Would all these marks buff out with a brush? I've tried rubbing the one on the front and it doesn't seem like it'll go away.

Well, thank you for the help and I guess I'll just get some venetian shoe cream--as recommended somewhere in this thread--and hope for the best.

Even if they did, you would likely create new marks with normal wear

The ebayer made a mistake by sending you boots that were not pictured, but unless you want to purchase new boots at retail, these are likely the type you will get

They just look like average scuffs from being handled and tried on to me.  They would probably even out with a coat of conditioner.

Call/email Yenni at J.Gilbert. I got mine there. Last Fall I was originally put on a list where the ETA was similar. Then someone dropped out of an existing order and she called me as I was first on the list.

Or when you can keep an eye out for slightly used here or on eBay for much less. rolleyes.gif

If these we're a 12.5D I would be seriously considering it. Shoemart has given me an approximate 1yr wait for Cigar LWB's. If he's willing to mail overseas then I'm sure someone will buy them at this price.
