Thanks for the kind words on the Ravello PTB yesterday Gents.

Couldn't wait till Friday to have a drink....A Thursday morn Whiskey, Maiden Voyage.
(Thanks Steel28!)
There are a couple of little tanning issues/imperfections, but I have really grown fond of Whiskey lately (after 3+ years of being a Alden convert). Seeing how rarely the Whiskey LWB has been making the rounds lately, I'm gonna keep 'em !

Since they redid the website, you now just add your corporate card info to your profile once and it remembers you each time you login. The problem is that you cannot see the discount until the last page where you verify your order. Go through checkout and put in your payment info and proceed to the next page (you can still back out after this step). At this last "place your order" page you can then finally see the discount that is applied. If you want to test it out the everyday corporate discount of 15% should be applied on that last page today.

As a reminder, add any cordovans you might want to your cart by Wed. In the past Brooks has removed all evidence of these shoes during major sales and sometimes you can't find them even if you search by their catalog number. However, I have found that if cordovans are saved in your cart before the sale starts then they should still be there during the sale, although if you delete them (to change a size or color, for example) then they disappear. So add everything you think you might be interested in to your cart early and decide on Thursday.

While they may have changed things, I can verify that I did this procedure for the last corporate sale in October and it worked fine. And this was after they had switched to the new website design.

is the corporate discount applied on top / stacked of any sales prices?  I thought the small print said it couldnt be.

Nope, the discount is on regular priced items only.

But in the past sales the everyday deals have stacked, like the 3/$225 dress shirts.

I was wondering how this worked with the new website.
I was playing around and I was able to add my corporate code to my profile but wasn't seeing the discount. I was unwilling to enter cc info and go to the last page though.
BTW, you can see if your corporate code is on your profile if you look in your address book.

Great looking shoes. Nice socks as well, good look overall.

Quick question on shoe trees...I wear an 8D and according to Alden's size recommendations I should use a S; however I noticed that all the pairs I have received from the various retails have been a M. Should I be using a S or M? I never really have paid attention to the sizing but i notice and odd line on the outside of my #8 Barrie boot the other day and wonder if this was caused by the tree. Thanks!!

sazon, I feel you about it being a thirsty Thursday. Your whiskey LWB's are striking, especially with the cuffed pin-stripes and the argyles.

To be clear, I don't own this shoe, I pulled that photo from Leffot's tumblr (though I have seen the shoe in store).

I think the Tremont last adds a bit of "dressiness" to these shoes over the barrie last. For those that don't like Barrie with suits, tremont is easier to wear with them. It is not as sleek as the Plaza or Aberdeen, though.

I've heard such good things about them here, but they cost twice what my usual cobbler costs and they take twice as long to get the work done.

hmmm ... i'm not too fond of the two-toned look of the sole/heel edging
i too, would be keen to get it corrected ... preferably by the folks who worked on it originally

I think it does, but there are some that say TTS.  The BB PTB, RL Marlow, and tremont last all seem to be tweeners that need to be tried on.  In all three cases I have gone with my barrie size.  But I have read and heard from SA's that there are those that go to TTS.

when I had them do work on my cigar PTBs I specifically said that I wanted the edging to stay the same and it came back the same.
