If my wife even suspected that I named my boy after a shoe company I think she would kill me. No, his name is going to be Ellison. The kicker is that I have a little girl that just turned 1 three weeks ago. I do love those boots and may try to get the mark off later today. Thanks for the tip.

Congrats! My 2 are 11 mons apart, thus the Alden addiction.

I got bored...lol This addiction is not good for the wallet:) PTB natural chormexcel from shoemart is coming next week.

That's glorious to look at. My natural cxl Indys are just starting to crease - it's interesting to observe just how differently calf and shell behave. I realize they can't stay pristine forever, but there's still just a twinge of sorrow as the break in. Of course they become even more comfortable and truly yours, but whatevs.

The commando sole failing that quickly into your post-purchase period is pathetic. I would contact Alden, who will tell you to contact the retailer. I would send it in to have it repaired even though some gorilla glue might do the trick.

Really? Pathetic? See this is the Alden bashing i can't understand. I can understand the OP posting to see what can be done. This is such a simple fix, shoemaker can throw some GG underneath. We don't know how they've been worn, where? We just assume that this is more aweful Alden work. Its a shoe, its on the ground. Its winter time. Sometime...wait...wait...**** happens.

The missing perf punch is another of these, but don't get me started.

Off to the shoe repair shop I go. Well, my wife is going to be having our second child Monday (or maybe sooner???)

Congrats and God Bless!

Great name! And I hope you didn't catch that from the Ravello LWBs you got from me. My son and daughter are also "Irish" twins, she's 4 in June, my son is 3 in September. Now you'll know why 10 PM has become a "late night" for me!

Congrats! My 2 are 11 mons apart, thus the Alden addiction.

With our Napolitan genes all we need to do is look at our wives apparently.

NewYorkRanger seems like a cool guy on these boards, and looking at his profile I see that he's an historian like myself. We'd probably get along famously. But I have to say, especially after watching the end of the game yesterday, that I hate his hockey team.

I'll just assume, to give the benefit of the doubt, that NewYorkRanger happens to be a rabid Pats fan. In which case, I'll overlook his hockey allegiances, misguided as they may be, and move on. Please Sir, do not mention to me the NY Giants or the Jets.

I'm certain everyone who works at Alden, just a stone's throw from hallowed Foxborough, agrees with me.

Go Pats!

Sorry to disappoint. :) Though I do hate the Yankees, which I'm sure you'll appreciate. I only saw highlights from yesterday, but seemed to me a good game. Ference may be one of the dirtiest, undirty players in the league. I do love New England shoes though! Go Big Blue!

Okay, fair enough. Just know that when you look at your feet, that your shoes are rooting for the Patriots!

Getting a little time to wear these today, only second time since they arrived. Have yet to venture out with them, just forming those creases, etc. :) Noticing an odd one on the right shoe, to the left of the point of longwing (I guess you'd call it?). What do you call it?
Anyway, will try not to get too concerned about how the creases decide they want to... ummm, crease. :D

Great looking LWB!
