When/how will they answer that question then?
Well said, Kippy. Your experience has been similar to mine with LS and although I have purchased a couple of Aldens from LS, my experience with them has always been as if they were doing me a favor by selling me $700 shoes. That's why I HAVE voted with my wallet and prefer to deal with Mike at Epaulet and Steven at Leffot for my Alden needs. Neither of those shops are 'web' stores, but they still seem happy to serve customers outside a limited 'local' reach with superior customer service.
I think that's a fair question to ask though, since afaik most special makeups are done on D width lasts.
My one LS purchase was done entirely via email. LSW helped me locate a pair of Brown CXL Pitt boots at LSBH.
It wasn't immediate but the service was great. Was also the way I purchased from Leffot and AoC in the past.

That's the only way anyone ever purchases Alden of Carmel - they're an email only internet company (despite the name).
I'm not sure the quote is attributed correctly... stupid multi-quoting.
