so i realized the leathersoul x SF boot was on the plaza last that i got last year. i went TTS and got a 9D. i wear a 8.5d trubalance and barrie last and a 9 on leydon. those are the only lasts i own

when i got my plaza last ravello captoes from Kathy at DC, she said i could go either way on plaza cuz of the shape of my foot and ending up taking a 8.5 on plaza. the 9s worked for me but i had a wee bit of heel slip on my left foot . so it helps that the SF boot is a boot and the ravellos are a blucher.

both fit great and well on me anyways for those who are in between sizes just giving my 2 cents on the plaza last. as with any boot, you always have a lil more room for error

You guys know there's a pair of 10.5 cigar LWBs on the Alden of Carmel irregulars list, right? I'm surprised they haven't been snatched up yet.

Anyone here clean their cordovans with brush only and not paste? I'm due for a cleaning, but I'm not sure how to go about it. The pamphlet that came with my Aldens say to use #8 paste.

Everybody has different techniques. I just brush vigorously before and after each wearing and put some venetian cream on maybe once a year...I keep my shoes boxed under my bed, don't know if that has anything to do with how they keep...

Hi NYR,

Do you have 1 brush for all shells or do you have 1 for each shade? I keep my Aldens bagged in their shoe bags and house them inside my closet. I find that the ones that are not worn for a while still get a bit dusty, even though they're bagged.

Nice! You'll dig them I think. In person, the captoes seem darker than some of my other cigar pairs. I enjoy the dark, rich color. For sizing reference, I am 9E on Grant, Plaza, Trubalance. Huge fan of the Grant - it is extremely comfortable for me.

Hi guys, I've been wanting to get this boot on the MTO thread but thats not quite moving in that direction. Any idea how much they cost ? I'm a 10.5 on the Barrie and I'm assuming that I would need an 11 on the Grant. Thanks in advance.

MickCollins - very nice captoe boot and thanks for sharing.

I use the same brush for all cordovan, even the black. If I used polish I prob would have a different brush for black, but thats it. I also keep them inside their plastic bags inside the boxes, dunno how that would affect the leather differently than the cloth bags
