I've only worn these five times, it would be a massive shame to have to do a premature recraft.

This is the easiest $3 fix you can get. Unless you want them flushed then it'll be more like $35.

Yes, plastic/metal toe tap mounted over the sole or flush metal ones will protect the toe tips from wear.

Interesting new Oxy-method... bicycle chain grease and brush till your arm falls off. biggrin.gif

To me its a light brown, not quite whiskey, but not near cigar. I'm not sure where the "red" comes from, though when i first started getting into Ravello, before I bought my LWBs, I saw a lot of red.

Here were my 9E LWB I sold after realizing they were too big:

and my 9D Ravello LWB:

9d's were significantly more red. But compared to #4:

Your ravello lwb are just stunning. After seeing pictures of yours a few months back, I became mildly obsessed with getting a pair. Literally checked multiple sites on an almost daily basis until finally getting a call from DC a few weeks ago. Mine aren't yet as good looking as your but working on it. Other than Mac method, you do anything special to those?

Seriously though, I glad that you're OK.

I covet these (along with some of their PTB suede), so buy an extra pair in 10.5E or 11D that won't fit you and then sell them to me cheap.smile.gif

Holy crap I didn't know these existed. Crap.

NYR, are those Ravello LWB from Leffot? Also, does anyone know if Alden DC has any more of these and if so, is there a difference between the Leffot and Alden DC version? In other words, does the DC version have the darker edge trim? Anyone have a pic of DC ravello?

Got a pair from Alden DC. Has the darker edge trim. I don't have picture yet but if you check back a bunch of pages, others who got the ravellos from DC posted photos.

I recently passed on the Ravello LWBs from DC as I would much prefer the lighter edge trim.

I initially thought the same thing, but have no regrets... very happy.

Looks like it's more the welt part that is black. Whereas the Leffot version the welt area is Ravello color:

I wonder if the edging is even different between the two?
