The dark red toned ravello also works great with certain colors (for example, red ravello shows with a navy suit, pink shirt and navy tie look awesome). To those that are getting these dark ravello shoes, consider yourselves lucky, you are getting one of the better Alden cordovan colors

+1 The color isn't "ravello" as I've come to know it but it is beautiful - almost like a vintage color 8.

By being obsessive and a stroke of luck. EVERYDAY I check Alden forums and websites. I log on to Leather Soul at 3pm (here in Toronto) EVERYDAY to see whats new.

Somone who was at Styleforum X party had posted the pair they picked up at the party,in person, and I was on the phone two seconds after hearing about them . They didn't happen to sell the 11.5d so i jumped on them. Takuya at LS shipped them that day. This all went down two days before they were posted on the LS page.

Now contrary to popular belief on how Leather Soul opperates, I'm not some oil tycoon who spends an average persons salary on shoes. I just got lucky. So if there is a make-up you are looking for just keep looking.

Edit: and if you are wondering why i only got them last night after they have been sold out for two weeks, i live in Ontario, Canada and it took that long to ship via USPS/Canada Post.

Unfortunately my size is not listed on the page. Anyone have experience with them ordering non-listed sizes (e.g., 6.5D)?

I just got an email from NRO:

"Greetings from NRO,

Thank you for your recent order.  The shoes you selected are approximately 12 weeks from shipment.  Please let us know how you wish to proceed.  We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please note your credit card has not been charged.

Best,
NRO
"

I think I'll just cancel my order.

12 weeks is nothing if you're waiting for aldens.

I sorta doubt it's really 12 weeks, probably indefinite. I can source the same model I ordered elsewhere, quicker (albeit not at a discount), so I rather not wait.

Especially at 20% off. I'd wait... how often would you wear Indys over the next 3 months (too hot at least where I live)?

Yeah I just got the same email regarding my #8 Indy order, except 14 weeks. Probably just cancel as well =/

If you're credit card is not being charged, what harm could come from waiting.  I suppose if you really want them immediately you could go to Alden of NY (Madison)

This NRO deal is very attractive....

If I am a size 10 in RL Marlow/Darlton, what size of Barrie would I order?

10D, 9.5D, or 9.5E?
