The Shoe Mart has a decent selection of C widths on lots of styles, but B widths can be a little harder to come by. If you really need a B, then it's best to stay on the lookout for pre-orders from places like Epaulet and Leather Soul. It may be a long wait, but at least you will get exactly the size you're looking for.
Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. Any thought on whether it's better to go with the smaller or larger width when between sizes?
Thanks to all of you gentlemen who led me to the light and showed me that keeping the #4 WT boots was the way to go.
Here are a few shots from today's maiden voyage.
Notice how much different they look in the natural light (3rd pic, although a cloudy day here in NYC)
these look great: but compared to shoemart pics i have a hard time telling the difference. just a TAD more red?
It's hard to tell the difference unless you put the shoes side by side. When you do that, especially outside, the #4 shoes its real character: dark like a mohagony, with some red highlights. Have to say, the shoe got 4 compliments on my first wear. I don't remember anyone ever commenting on my Ravello boots.
