EDIT: Local, that really does show off #8, awesome boots.

Yeah I figured if I could recraft them or just flip them on eBay in the condition I got them they would be worth it. I've never worn / bought used footwear before and don't really plan on it

Lightly pre-owned is no big deal to me. However I've seen some guys on SF post 'thrift store finds' that are pretty disgusting to be honest.

Help me out here. The guy buys a moldy, nasty used shoe that doesn't fit him and he "can't go wrong"? It's "worth the risk"?

I'm sure they can replace in the insole but that will add cost (>$100) to your find. Additionally, depending on what the 'smell' is, it could be just some poor care at best, or at worst, mold, or something that is deep iold, or something that is deep iaddress mild odors but I am not sure if it is that bad. Maybe others can chime in.

every cobbler can replace an insole and it shouldn't cost more than twenty bucks.

Sorry for the noob question but I don't really know what a 2nds list is. Is it preowned stuff that has been reconditioned or ...?

I've been looking for PTB in 8.5 or 9 in whiskey or ravello so if someone could forward me this list, I'd appreciate it.
