Is there more than one type of commando sole? All the other commando soles I saw in this thread had lugs all the way to the edge on the heel, but not the forefoot.

They certainly look like the LS Ultimate Jumper Boot, but the LS are on the double oiled waterlock sole. My guess is someone had their local cobbler make a commando sole by modifying the waterlock with a vibram lug sole.

Another thing I've been thinking about lately, as my collection has grown: Do you guys put special riders on your home insurance for your Aldens? I'm sure those collections are worth well over $10K (and many irreplaceable).

Been buying Aldens since 2007.

No specific rider for Aldens however we do have an increased coverage for "stuff" on our insurance.
