Also, the LeatherSoul boot looked excellent, this two-tone boot looks terrible (photoshopped or not).

Got my first pair of Aldens. I tried on a different variations of the Cap Toe Boot and Shoe Mart's version was my favorite. I immediately put them in shoe bags, too hot in florida to wear boots right now and I'm moving up north in 3 weeks. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

A sketch perhaps? In the business world, it's actually preferred for design purposes. Photoshopping is tacky.

Indeed they are from Leffot. The 1st photo was with no flash...the other two with...The contrast stitching and red brick sole makes these very NICE!!

I dropped in at Leather Soul Beverly Hills.  Alas, their blue suede plain toes are gone.  I left a message at J Gilbert but have not heard back. I'll have to check out Leffot.

Leather Soul BH is a nice place BTW.  I knew it was small, but I was still surprised.  The floor space is so limited that they laid out the Trickers on the staircase to the loft.  But they have one entire wall display just for Alden.  Sizing is tricky for me, and they primarily stock "D" widths.  Sadly, I didn't find anything with a good fit from their stock room.

I got a call back about an hour later saying they had noticed a small dent in the leather they couldn't buff out of the boot and wanted to know if i wanted to cancel, get the boot from their other store or get a free pair of shoe trees. They sent me an email with pictures of the dent and it was barely noticeable. So, I took the shoe trees! Great service and attention to detail. fing02%5B1%5D.gif

The Self Edge boot was my first from LS that I bought new from them. They really are a class act, I was very impressed with the packaging, and feel they go above and beyond to make the customer feel appreciated.

You guys seem to have head on your shoulders, and while the soul may not be for the MCer who wears Aldens, these types of soles are all over SW&D (where this thread is located btw). They may be why you didn't want em, but with raw denim (it is a denim co's collab) these are SICK. You also have the option to have the sole replaced as well, and since they're at a non-shell price, would be a pretty unique custom job. The sole though in my mind is the best part of this shoe. None of my other shoes are as comfortable as these.

When I saw the photos online I really didn't like this make up. I still wouldn't buy it for myself, but they look great with your casual outfit.

If my Aldens are not gong to be worn for 2-3 weeks should I take the shoe trees out?
