Anyone want to get in on a Frans Boone order? The Aldens I want are less than 500 EUR and I don't want to pay an extra 50 EUR shipping. PM me.

Both look great and, as of right now, I'm leaning toward the Brooks Brothers unlined penny loafer due to the immediate availability of C widths.
Any differences in sizing between the LHS and the BB unlined version? I read on SF that the BB unlined cordovan penny loafer is supposedly a bit more roomy. Would you say it's actually a bit larger or is it simply more relaxed because it's not lined?

I wear the same size, 10 1/2 D in both. The unlined BB seems a bit roomier, and feels as if it stretches over time, although cordovan barely stretches. Good luck!

Which do you think would be more suitable/versatile for business attire (i.e. suits and business casual)... whiskey LWB or cigar LWB

out of those 2, cigar. whiskey would stand out a bit much for that purpose methinks.

If I ever get into Alden Madison Ave. and they have a pair of these in my size...

Very unfortunately, I've worn them at home on carpet for a bit and they are far too loose on my foot. I definitely need a 12D in the Hampton.

As nice as they are, a nice balmoral of some sort in Cigar is what I'd really like. I think that Whiskey will be after Cigar.

Forgive me for constantly posting pics of my whiskey lwb's, they're my only pair shog[1].gif

Birthday's at the end of the month so hopefully I'll have a new pair to contribute icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

This is from our first snow back mid-Jan after dinner. No welts or water stains for my pair

So today I realized commando sole makes the cap toe boot too clunky to wear with skinny jeans, leather sole it is. Now I just gotta find some store with a cap toe #8 in size 8 in stock.

Has anyone experienced uneven insoles/footbeds? I don't think I've seen this discussed.

I didn't notice that the left shoe of my 403s had a small bump near the ball of my foot when first trying them. After some moderate walking at my office job, I began to notice it with every step. Alden acknowledged the defect and replaced the shoes for me; the new pair was nice and flat.

I recently tried on another pair of Aldens with a similar issue. I'm afraid of running into this problem on one of my pre-ordered shoes as those would essentially be non-replaceable until another production run. I wonder if a cobbler could apply heat and successfully flatten any abnormalities. Thoughts/experiences? TIA.

Well my boot has the uneven outsole issue. Although it is very slightly uneven, but I notice it with every step.

I think I can't do anything about it and try my best to get used to it...
